Cambodia's textile and apparel industry has become a main pillar of its economy. Figures indicate that FDI in this industry reached USD 248 million. Cambodia’s apparel exports are mostly shipped to Western countries, with the European Union (EU) holding the lion’s share (40%), followed by the United States (25%).
